This past weekend was the first big weekend for a lot of local athletes racing this season. The Lone Star Triathlon Festival offered a Sprint, Quarter Ironman, and Half Ironman race. A number of Austin athletes made the trip to Galveston to take part in one or two of these races. Austin athletes also made trips to 70.3 New Orleans and 70.3 Oceanside in California to race.
Among the J&A crowd racing the Galveston Half were Jason McMillian (1st overall), Todd Gerlach (3rd overall), and Billy Harllee (1st, 30-34 male, 2nd Age Grouper), pictured above. Aside from the three guys pictured there were a number of athletes flying the J&A colors who posted PR's (personal records) and / or made the podium in their Age Group. We also had a number of great volunteers and cheering fans, including a strong group of guys helping keep us safe on the bike course.
Congratulations to all who completed this past weekend. A big thank you to everyone who volunteered and cheered for athletes.
