Working a Race

As you probably know, it takes many volunteers to make a triathlon run smoothly. This past Sunday was no exception; there were plenty of great people on hand at the Couples Tri at Decker Lake in Austin. Here are a few pictures of what volunteers do to make a race happen and what they do to keep participants cool and happy.

Keeping runners cool with water guns.
Cleaning up the race site.
Taking volunteers to their areas.
Prepping drinks at the Aid Station
Breaking down transition area. (pretty much the worst job at a tri.)
Deflating Swim Buoys
Hauling Ice
What's left? - filthy volunteers!
